WHO IS BASRI ZILABID CHALISHKAN?

BASRI ZILABID CHALISHKAN 
was born in 1978 in the city of Dobrich, Bulgaria. After graduating from Marmara University, Faculty of Theology (2000), he did his Master's degree in Islamic History. In 2003, he defended his thesis on the Religious Management of Muslims in Bulgaria. He was in Sofia between 2001-2010. In the meantime, he gave lectures at the Higher Islamic Institute, worked as an administrator in the "Ahmed Davudoğlu" Friendship and Brotherhood Foundation and Nadejda Association, which work in the field of education and culture. He settled in Istanbul in 2010. He still continues to work as the head of the foreign students department in a private research center. He is fluent in Bulgarian and Arabic, and intermediate in Russian. He is the founder and editor of the Bulgarian Turkish Youth blog.
